DENIALS
Our bible is filled with God’s promises for our magnificent life here on earth.
And what is a promise? A promise is something sent beforehand to indicate that something unseen is on its way, that one can expect the greater good to become manifest with ease and under grace. And according to the spiritual system that Jesus taught us we must be in alignment in mind and attitude to receive the blessings that have been prepared for us.
There are two attitudes of mind: positive and negative or affirmation and denial. “Simply let your ‘Yes’ be ‘Yes’, and your ‘No,’ ‘No’.”
-----Mathew 5:37
We as human beings make our world by the words, ideas, and beliefs we speak or express silently or audibly. God is always trying to pour more of the good into our lives, making our lives richer, fuller and more successful. We say, “Yes” to those ideas of greater good and “No” to any limiting, self-defeating ideas, beliefs or attitudes that we may have held in mind. Our mistaken beliefs about God and ourselves cause all of our human suffering.
There are four common error beliefs that can be denied like this:
1. There is no evil in omnipresent good.
2. There is no absence of life, substance, or intelligence, anywhere.
3. Pain, sickness, poverty, old age, and death are illusions and cannot affect me.
4. There is nothing at all in the universe for me to fear.
----these are an updated version of Emily Cady’s denials given to us by Ruth L. Miller
“No person or thing in the universe, no chain of circumstances, can by any possibility interpose itself between you and all joy----all good.” “------nothing can stand between you and your own.”
---H. Emily Cady
